Mrinalini pursued her PhD from the Delhi School of Economics and has submitted her dissertation to the University of Delhi. Her research focused on the economics of discrimination and unequal opportunities in economic well-being, and their impact on growth. She has taught undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Delhi. Her current research interests include wage polarization over the skill spectrum of workers, along with its intersection with other social identities. Beyond Economics, she is also interested in the related zones of sociology and politics of caste and gender.
